HEAVEN’S GROCERY STORE
0 I was walking along Life’s Highway a long, long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read ‘HEAVENS GROCERY STORE’. As I got a little closer, the door came open wide and before I knew what happened, I found myself inside. I saw a host of ANGELS that were standing everywhere; One handed me a basket saying "Shop my child, with care." Everything a Christian needs was in that grocer’s store; Take all that you can carry - you can still come back for more.
First I got some PATIENCE, and LOVE from the same row. Next was UNDERSTANDING which you need wherever you go. I took a box or two of WISDOM - a great big bag of FAITH. The SPIRIT OF GOD I couldn’t miss, it was in every place. I stopped to get some COURAGE and STRENGTH to run the race. By then the trolley was almost full - but I remembered I needed GRACE. I didn’t forget SALVATION, as Salvation was for free: I even tried to get enough to save both you and me.
I started back to the counter, to pay the Grocer’s bill, for I thought that I had everything to do my FATHER’S will. As I walked along the aisle I saw a Prayer and put it in, for I knew that when I stepped outside I’d run right into sin. PEACE and JOY were plentiful, there on the very last shelf, SONGS OF PRAISE were hanging near, so I just helped myself. Then turning to the Angel, I said "How much must I pay?" He smiled and waved towards the door: "Just use them on your way."
Puzzled now, I asked again, "But how much do I owe?"
"My child. Your bill was paid by Jesus, a long time ago."
