Introducing
THE DULLEY FAMILY
Welcome
to our family - my name is Nick Dulley, my wife’s name is Paula and we have
two children, Charlotte aged 12 and Ciaran aged 8. We are currently living on
Conway Drive in Fulwood, Charlotte attends Archbishop Temple school and Ciaran
attends Queens Drive primary.
Paula and I have been married for thirteen years, but have been together for more like sixteen. Our first home together for many years was in Somerset, a place we hope to retire back to some day, I however am a Londoner (not cockney) and an avid Chelsea fan!! We moved back to Preston (where Paula originates from) when Charlotte was a toddler, mainly to be near Paula’s family, as we felt Charlotte was missing out on many aspects of family life by not living near grandparents and having that extended family close by to be a part of her life. Ciaran arrived a few years later and life certainly got more hectic!
I work for a company called Nederman Ltd., a job I have held for 19 years, enjoy greatly and gain a great deal of satisfaction from. My job also sends me up and down the country as well as all over the world visiting various branches of the company. I have visited Sweden, Germany, Canada and Norway to name but a few countries - nothing tike fishing in Fjords for relaxation!! Paula is just coming to the end of her second year back at college. She trained as a hairdresser and beauty therapist at Preston College when she was sixteen and has been a hairdresser for many years. However, she has recently been back at the same college and has refreshed her level 2 beauty qualifications and is now coming to the end of her level 3 qualification, with a view to setting up her own business in the very near future. All potential customers gratefully welcomed!
We both are involved in the running of the Friday evening youth club ‘Escape’ for 7-11 year olds, which I am sure some of your children attend. This is a very rewarding experience as well as being a really worthwhile way to spend our Friday evenings! I enjoy participating in most sports as an ex military physical training instructor, but prefer football, boxing and golf as my favourites.
I am sure you recognise our faces from Fulwood Methodist Church, but any of you that we have not as yet had the pleasure of saying hello too; please do come and make yourselves known to us and our children. We consider the church to be a vital part of our extended family, we have had a very warm welcome from the very first time we attended and the reception is still warm and friendly a few years on.
We recognise that the next couple of years will be quite challenging for all of us but look especially for guidance and support for our church leaders in the refurbishment project and all that entails. We hope to remain in this, our closest community for many years to come and look forward to meeting and sharing fellowship with all of you at some point.
