INTRODUCING

THE HOLYFIELD FAMILY

Katrina and Richard Holyfield moved from Cardiff to their new home in Cottam in April 1999 with their two sons, Leighton (aged 8 yrs) and Daniel (aged 7 yrs).

Richard is an Area Business Manager for the Peacock Group, a textiles company, and moved because of work . He lived in Preston in rented accommodation for 6 months before the family joined him. He is very much a family man and, when not working, enjoys playing football and cricket with the boys who are both "sports mad" and support Liverpool Football Club !

Katrina has recently obtained her NNEB qualification and is currently looking for a job as a nursery nurse. She enjoys Keep-Fit aHolyfield Familynd has already been persuaded to help with "Escape".

Previously, they were members of a small Methodist Church in Cardiff and the Church Stewards put them in touch with Stephen & Myrtle who invited them for a meal just before New Year. Obviously, the food must have been all right because they decided to attend Fulwood Methodist Church!

They transferred their membership to Fulwood at the end of May and both now wished that they had taken the opportunity to speak at the service.

Katrina was "Overwhelmed by the welcome from so many people". Richard said , "Our last Church only had a congregation of about 30 members, so it was like a close family and everyone had to play their part. I am amazed that with such a big Church everyone is so friendly."

Katrina was very worried about moving from South Wales, but both found the move was easier than they thought.

Richard’s final words were "Without the help of members of the Church, moving to a new area would have been very difficult. We can’t thank you all enough for the strength and support we have received
